A Couple of Versus

New Music Alert: Energy appears to be in the mood for poems, as they add two songs with versus in them this week. The first versus belongs to David Guetta vs. The Egg, as "Love Don't Let Me Go (Walking Away)" gets welcomed to the playlist. And the second versus belongs to Dirty South vs. Evermore, taking to the airwaves with "It's Too Late." Also listen for the latest from Bob Sinclar, whose "Rock This Party" borrows the infamous "Everybody Dance Now" line from the classic C&C Music Factory cut, "Gonna Make You Sweat."

Feelin' Alive in Old Jeans

New Music Alert: A couple of underwhelming tracks get added to Energy's playlist this week. First up is Fatboy Slim's "That Old Pair of Jeans," which does stand out on the station but has also been a staple on Alice's playlist for a couple of months already. The other song new to Energy's airwaves this week is "Feel Alive" by Benassi Bros. featuring Naan. This is an OK track, but it pales in comparison to the brilliance that was Benassi Bros.' last single, "Every Single Day." Unfortunately, that far superior song never quite found its way onto Energy's playlist.

What a Feeling

New Music Alert: Joining the ranks of many dance stations across the country, Energy this week adds the latest from Peter Luts featuring Dominico, "What a Feeling." Thankfully, it's not a Flashdance remake, nor does it sample and loop a solitary line from the famous 80's hit. Peter Luts may not exactly be a household name, but perhaps you've heard of the band behind which he is a leading force - Lasgo, whose hits "Something," "Alone," and "Surrender" are all Energy staples.

More Moran

New Music Alert: The remixer du jour of the moment certainly appears to be Tony Moran. In the past year, he's churned out some mixes that are simply fiyah. His streak shows no signs of abating, as Energy snaps up two more of his mixes and puts them into regular rotation this week. Unfortunately, even the best of mixes can't make the latest from Janet Jackson and Nelly, "Call on Me," worthy of airplay. This one is a stinker through and through. Moran fares much better with a high-energy mix of the warbling offered up by daughter of wrestler Hulk, Brooke Hogan. Her "About Us" may not have the longevity to become a classic, but its initial appeal makes it stand out on the radio and a decent add for the station.
