Mesmerizing Islands (A+)

Energy deserves major props for their adds this week - two of them are superb pieces of dance music. First up, we have the Freemasons' take on Faith Evans' "Mesmerized." It was not enough that the Freemasons are burning up the dance airwaves with their own "Love on My Mind;" now they've provided the most scrumptious remix of a stand-out vocal performance from Faith. This should leap out of the radio at you - music simply doesn't get any better or more joyful than this.

Additionally, Energy has added my personal #1 song of the week, "Islands" from QED. You may remember QED from a few years back, when they scored big with a remake of Def Leppard's "Love Bites." Now they're back, and group member Valentin has turned the beautiful, ballad-esque album version of "Islands" into a fierce floor-stomper. There's a reason this jam has soared to the top of my personal list of favorites - give it one listen, and hopefully you'll agree. Energy is on my awesome list this week - they're sounding particularly great right now, and I myself couldn't have chosen better adds. These two songs are perfection, pure and simple.

The third add of the week comes from Natasha Bedingfield, whose brother, Daniel, still receives quite a bit of play on Energy with songs like "Gotta Get Thru This" and "If You're Not the One." Natasha's first outing, "These Words," is a great pop song, but I don't feel the many dance remixes avaliable do it justice. Nevertheless, it makes a nice add to Energy's playlist as well.
